On This Day In Spurs History: 1st April

1967 – Spurs finished third in 1967 and of course won the FA Cup against Chelsea. On this day in 1967 we defeated Liverpool 2-1 at White Hart Lane, with both our goals being scored by Jimmy Greaves.

1989 – Tottenham contribute to West Ham’s relegation by beating them 3-0 at home, with goals from Terry Fenwick, Nayim and Paul Stewart.

1992 – On the same day three years later, Spurs again beat West Ham 3-0 at White Hart Lane. On this occasion Gary Lineker grabs a hat-trick.
