Today In Spurs History: April 8th

1901 – Tottenham beat West Bromwich Albion 4-0 in the FA Cup semi-final, with ‘Sandy’ Brown scoring all four goals. Southern League Spurs would beat Sheffield United in the final.

1967 – Spurs are lucky to force a goalless draw away at Birmingham, after it appeared that Pat Jennings had dropped the ball over the line for a late goal. Tottenham would win the replay at White Hart Lane and go on to win the cup.

The Sun reports that we will see Peter Crouch’s robot dance again if he scores in the World Cup final. In which case, we almost certainly won’t be seeing it again.

They also feature Theo Walcott, who states that the Arse will take out their frustrations on Tottenham. Rubbish. If Messi can score four against them we might lose count of the goals that Bale will score.

The Mirror breaks the news that Aaron Lennon could return to action at Wembley on Sunday.

  1. WITH MAN.U & ARSENAL NOW OUT OF THE CL. ITS GOING TO BE BIG TIME PRESSURE ON US IN OUR FORTHCOMING LEAGUE FIXTURES. HOWEVER IF WE REALLY WANT TO OUR 4TH PLACE STATUS THEN WE MUST BEAT THE TOP FOUR CURRENTLY ABOVE US IN THE LEAGUE TO PROVE WE ARE WORTHY OF CL FOOTBALL.
