This Day In Spurs History: 4th May

1965 – On this day in 1965, Spurs played Wolves at home. At half-time the score was 1-1, but by the end of the match the score was somehow 7-4 to Tottenham. Our goals were scored by Eddie Clayton, Les Allen (his last for the club), Alan Gilzean (2) and Cliff Jones (3).

1976 – A 5-0 home win against Sheffield United, thanks to goals from Young, Perryman (2), Chivers and Duncan.

  1. 6 goals in one half against Wolves back in 1965 and you couldn’t score one in 2009/2010.

    To be honest, now we’ve survived, one thing I’m fearing is a backlash from Spurs next season.

    Anyway, just wanted to say good luck for your match at City tomorrow. Hope you get the draw/win you need to put you in pole position.
