On This Day In Spurs History: 12th May
1994 – A notable off the field moment occured today in 1994, after the FA charged us with misconduct for alleged irregular payments to a number of players. Our punishment was to be banned from the FA Cup for one season and to start our league campaign on -12 points. Fortunately, upon appeal, we just got to pay a nice fine instead and enjoyed a memorable season with Jurgen Klinsmann leading our attack. It’s never dull at Tottenham Hotspur.
