On This Day In Spurs History: 26th August
1961 – On this day in 1961, Spurs beat Arsenal 4-3 at White Hart Lane. Tottenham went 2-0 up with goals from Les Allen and Terry Dyson, only for Arsenal to fight back to lead 3-2. With just seven minutes left, Dyson scored two more goals within two minutes, to complete his hat-trick and put us back in the lead. Dyson remains the only Spurs player to have scored a hat-trick in the North London derby.
