Ralph Coates has died today aged 64, having recently suffered a stroke. Coates made 229 appearances for Spurs and scored 23 goals.

The most famous of those goals was the winner in the 1973 League Cup final against Norwich City and when you think of Coates, the image of him celebrating that goal with his hair blowing in the wind, will be the one that most Tottenham supporters and football fans in general will remember.

RIP.
