Sandro believes Spurs can challenge for the title

Sandro is the latest Spurs player to come out and say that we can win the title this season. The £8m summer signing has struggled in his appearances for Tottenham thus far, but has promised Spurs fans that his best is yet to come.

“With the team we have we have to think big. This could be quite a historical year for Spurs.”

Sandro believes that the strength of the Tottenham squad means that we have to be challenging for honours: “We have some very good, top quality players and Spurs play such good football. We have to be competing with the other top teams and should be knocking on the door of the league and cups too.”

As for his own form, the player has admitted that he has had his ‘ups and downs’, but believes that he is suffering from not playing regular first team football.

“It is difficult because at Inter I was a regular in the team and now I have to wait for my turn which is always tough for every player.

“But now I think I am past that period and feel stronger for the rest of the season. I’m hoping 2011 will be a good year for me and of course for the club.”

We are all hopeful that Sandro’s predictions come to fruition but whether we will ever see the best of him remains in doubt.
