Woodgate and O’Hara continue to prove fitness

by Matthew Harris on January 26, 2011

Putting rumour and gossip aside for one second there have been some updates on our walking wounded this week.

Both Jamie O’Hara and Johnathan Woodgate featured in our friendly against Charlton on Tuesday. O’Hara played for 70 minutes, as he looks to prove his fitness ahead of a proposed January move.

Woodgate lasted an hour and it seems to be between him and Ledley King for a place in the next 25 man squad. It’s possible that Woody could also be heading off on loan, with Championship outfits QPR and Leeds mentioned as possible destinations.

Meanwhile, Tom Huddlestone has announced that he has targeted the second leg of the AC Milan clash for his return after struggling with an ankle problem for some time. Whether we’d want to nurse him back to fitness in such a (hopefully) crucial game, is another matter.
