While there may be little transfer action involving Spurs right now, there is plenty more news to bring on the loan front.
The club has announced that Tom Carroll will be joining Leyton Orient until the end of the season. The O’s may be unhappy with Spurs over the stadium proposals but that hasn’t stopped them making use of our youngsters. Carroll will join fellow Spurs Harry Kane and Paul-Jose M’Poku at Brisbane Road.
Elsewhere, Bristol City have been impressed by the contributions made by Steven Caulker so far, but Danny Rose is likely to be out for another two weeks.
Another player out on loan and in the news is Kyle Walker. The right back has impressed his team mates and manager at Aston Villa and now seems to have caught the eye of Fabio Capello.
The England boss has said: “Walker has just started in the Premier League, but is a very interesting player. I saw him against Uzbekistan for the Under-21s, and across the box he was really dangerous. He must improve his defending but he’s fast and technically good.”
Whether these comments justify the suggestion that Walker will be in the next England squad remains to be seen, but it does beg the question again as to whether he should be back at Spurs and in the first team?

i’d leave him on loan in the top flight to help to develop himself through regular first team footy & take a look at him next season as i reckon he could be better than hutton soon enough & eventually make the right defensive flank position for his own in the spurs team.
