According to Talksport, Tottenham will be offered the chance to sign Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for £16 million in the summer. Many fans will be split on this, as there are rumours that he rejected the chance to join Spurs a few years ago.
Huntelaar is without doubt a good player, with 26 goals in 42 games for Holland and with our midfield behind him I believe a natural born finisher like Huntelaar would score goals. Though often thought of as a mere poacher, he is also tall and good in the air.
There have always been doubts though as to whether Huntelaar is really a top class forward. He failed to set the world alight at either Real Madrid or AC Milan, while his career at Schalke has stalled somewhat after a bright start.
Is Huntelaar just another of the many strikers who can do it in Holland but nowhere else, or could he be as successful as his countryman Ruud Van Nistelrooy, in the right team? If he did sign, would he improve us?
