Alan Hutton is set to miss the rest of the season after tearing his cartliage in training on Thursday. The former Rangers right back will undergo surgery and is likely to be out for some time.

On the one hand, Hutton was looking like being on his way in any case at the end of this campaign but with Tottenham’s defensive crisis in the headlines, Harry will have wanted him fit and ready in case there were any more problems at the back.

Although there are still rumours that Corluka will be leaving the club at the end of the season, he has been first choice right back for several weeks now and with Kyle Walker impressing at Aston Villa, has Alan Hutton played his last game in a Spurs shirt?

It leaves us with very few options available at right back. Gallas could play there if fit, but the likes of Wilson Palacios and BAE have looked shaky when asked to deputise in the the position. Get well soon Younes Kaboul.

  1. Hutton is shite. He can’t cross a ball and never closes down his man who always seems to get in an easy cross. He’s prone to giving away penalties as well. I couldn’t care if they actually decide to amputate rather than just an arthroscopy.
