With the likely disappearance of West Ham from the Premier League, one of the options for dispensing with our fringe players has also gone. Step forward QPR, who have already been linked with Robbie Keane this month and are now strongly rumoured to be looking at a move for Jermaine Jenas.

JJ has been in and out of the side due to both injury and selection, but Harry does seem to favour him at times when other options are available. Tottenham’s crowded midfield and the emergence of Sandro however could see Jenas out of the door and after being linked with Serie A in the past, Loftus Road may be seen by many as a more fitting destination.

Meanwhile, Neil Warnock’s newly promoted side may be set to do us another favour as a rumour links them with a move for Joe Cole. The player looks like a definite casualty at Anfield this summer and after suggestions of a transfer to White Hart Lane, maybe QPR could be allowed to step in to the front of a small queue.

  1. QPR have money but they really do need to strengthen, apart from Faurlin, Taarabt and Paddy Kenny they lack talent, Matt Connelly and Routledge look good at that level but the Prem????

They could get the London boys who arent playing to go there, Joe Cole, Jenas, O’Hara, Carlton Cole where as Jarvis, Woodgate, Keane etc could be options for them.

  2. The price will be around 6 million because he is an england international, he will do great at a club like that, but never good enough at the highest level

  3. Never going to happen. Jenas is at Spurs for the duration.
Only way to sell him is for 5million but Spurs will want 10million so that is that.
In 50 years time Jenas will be on the Spurs bench with his zimmer frame sipping cocoa with a pipe and slippers asking “are we there yet?” every 30 seconds.

  4. Any deal for jenas to QPR will be only a loan til the end of the season. Spurs want too much for QPR to buy him outright!

  5. quite rate jenas as a squad player. he played some important roles coming off the bench in the champs league to add some energy in midfield (something lacking from kranjcar’s game). and who can forget his goals against the arse.

but, i think it’d be a good match for him to go to QPR. relatively big fish in a smaller pond; he might thrive. and he’s certainly not essential to us.

my main wishes are to keep modric and bale. and get a top quality striker who can do the lone role; or else we might have to sell VdV as we cant afford VdV’s lack of work off the ball (ie, drogba, mario gomez style…. ok kenwyne jones)

  6. I have to say that Kenwyne Jones is a good shout. Very strong in hold up play, solid in the air and has a mean strike on him. People may have their doubts but he really could be an option with the right offer to Stoke. VdV needs to maintain his poisition and stop dropping into the holding midfield area to pick up the ball. Sorry, we are really off topic here!!!
