The supposedly imminent arrival of Andrea Villas-Boas at Chelsea could finally mean some transfer movement involving two of Porto’s most sought after players.

Villas-Boas has emerged from nowhere to become a 1/7 bookies favourite to take over at the Bridge after a season in which he emulated Jose Mourinho by taking his Porto side to a historic treble. However it doesn’t look like he’ll be given the chance to follow his predecessor by winning the Champions League as he gets lined up for the Stamford Bridge hot seat.

Needless to say, rumours are rife about the possibility of him taking star strikers Hulk and Radamel Falcao with him and you could understand the new coach wanting to take his old players along. As we’ve seen this week however, Chelsea don’t need a manager to dictate a transfer policy and those decisions could be out of his hands.

While it’s believed that parting with their boss would unsettle the two men in question, if they don’t have a place at Chelsea then Tottenham could step in for one or maybe even both. Time will tell, but the immediate futures of Hulk and Falcao could be settled very shortly.

  1. am a chelsea fan and believe that both of these players would love to play for villas boas at any club in the world but i would much rather have falcao than hulk but if we get both then that would be good as villas boas knows how to get the best out of them and hopfully that means the best out of torres

  2. Torres and Falcao play too similar boas will probley play the same way he did at porto but with torres. So Spurs should bid £30 mill now for Falcao.
