It looks like the future of Giovani dos Santos may well be settled before the start of the season with several overseas clubs being lined up as candidates for the Mexican’s signature.

Sevilla were being touted as a likely destination at one point but it later emerged that the Spanish outfit were only interested in a loan deal,

“Tottenham want a sale but at the moment Sevilla are only interested in a loan with the first option to buy,” said club president Jose Maria Del Nido.

“This is the problem because the subject is complicated.”

However, it seems that Udinese and Valencia are now interested in tying down Dos Santos permanently and after his recent international form for Mexico, you would feel that something has to happen soon.

No fees have yet been mentioned so we can only speculate how much the player who cost us £4.7m back in 2008 is now worth.

  1. SSN were reporting that Levy wants £12m. I think that Barca are owed 10% though.

shame if he does leave, me like most other fans would have liked to have seen him given a decent run in the team.

  2. Would be nice if these two teams backed up interest – there is a player at both clubs that would interest Spurs, especially Mata at Valencia,so perhaps a player + cash deal could be agreed ?.

  3. if we are going to stick with 4411 then Gio should be used as an alternative to Rafa VDV, or as an impact sub for the last 20-30 mins. the lad would change games if given a chance, we dont have any dribblers like him and he is very young, with the right developement he could become a very valuable asset in the future? how can fans see this when spurs coach’s and Harry cant?

  4. good player but like a few others is never going to get a chance so might as well cash in to reiinvest in first team. if we can get anything like that for a player who cost £4.5m it’d be a good deal.

  5. I dont want Mata from Valencia, if we cant buy b4 we sell then lets just get rid of all the fringe players and change the bloody strikers! keane and crouch out please. Adebayor and Lloriente in. that ll do nicely! 🙂

  6. Dave Jones you are another of the please give Gio a chance squad but the guy proved that his best moves where in the bars around London. The guy had his chance and is now time to move him on.Cut the cost and sell him on.We are never going to get Mata not a hope in hell.Sell him on for 6ml maybe 7ml and use the money. The same should be done with the rest of the deadwood.Sell the on.Try and get 5ml for them and where a player is better quality make it 7-8ml .Far better to get 30-40ml and cut the wage bill than end up with them all still there and no new strikers.

  7. I would love gio to stay at Spurs, but i don’t think that would work out with Harry, i’ve seen him play great for his country(last u.s vs giovani goal was brilliant),but, i think it’s in the best interest that he moved on and played ,i’m sure he would be Great one day soon in the future.

  8. sell him and put the money together to buy a striker defoe and crouch waste of time be lucky to get £10m for both lol we need someone like neymar or nimar or benzima of real madrid
