Rossi decision could hamper Vucinic move

by Matthew Harris on July 29, 2011

We may have already expected this news but it now seems certain that Giuseppe Rossi won’t be coming to White Hart Lane this summer.

However, Spurs haven’t lost out to Juventus or any of the La Liga giants as the player’s agent has confirmed that Rossi will be at Villarreal for one more season at least,

Giuseppe Rossi has officially been taken off the market after they (Villarreal) sold Santi Cazorla to Malaga,” Federico Pastorello told the medie in Italy.

“The economic problems which the club had have now been resolved by that transfer.

“Nevertheless, this decision has liberated Rossi as he’s now just focusing on playing football and scoring goals.

“He’s not used to being at the centre of such negotiations and tension. He wanted Juventus, but he’s accepted the position taken by the president of Villarreal.”

Having missed out on the number one target in Rossi, Juventus may well turn their attention to Roma’s Mirko Vucinic. It looks like Villarreal’s decision could see us miss out on two of our striker targets.

Italian media says Vucinic has signed a 3 year deal with Juventus after the Rossi deal fell through…

However: Expect atleast one signing thats over the top, and will make Modric kiss Levy for not letting him go… ;)

As a seasoned and, if I say so myself a knowledgeable fan, I fail to see the problem. Rossi was never good enough at Utd and I doubt anythings changed. I note interest from barca, valencia and both madrids is conspicuous by its absence
