n these late stages of the transfer window it’s rare to see any new names linked with Spurs and stories over the last two days have largely involved proposed moves for Diarra, Adebayor, Samba and Cahill.
So it was interesting to look at the credentials of Papiss Cisse, a 26 year old, Senegalese striker currently playing his football in Germany with SC Freiburg. After two years in the Bundesliga, with 32 goals in 51 league games to his credit, the player had this to say about a possible move.
“I want to leave. Yes I have a contract but I want to test myself at another level.
“Some clubs are in for me and some calls have been made.”
One of those clubs is rumoured to be Tottenham while Steve Bruce at Sunderland is also thought to be interested in a player who has scored 7 times in 9 games for his country.
Cisse looks to have the credentials to make the step up and if he does cross over to White Hart Lane, he could be a welcome addition to the squad.
Hadn’t heard of him before but, he looks like a forward who knows where the net is! On those 3 minutes I’d certainly have him.
Harry wont sign him as he’s under 30 and hasnt played in the prem 🙂
