Spurs manager Harry Redknapp was pleased with the 0-0 draw against PAOK Salonika last night and he praised his young side for their belief.

Tottenham managed a draw thanks largely to a retaken penalty by the home side which was missed at the second attempt, although Harry claims that his side should have had a spot kick of their own.

“I thought it was a close game. They could have won it at the end, but I felt we should have had a penalty in the first half. A draw was a fair result,” Redknapp said.

“We kept the ball well and there were some good performances out there from some of the young players” he added.

“The atmosphere was fantastic. You don’t get that in many places in the world.

“The young players have never seen anything like that so it must have been a difficult experience for them but they coped very well.”

Elsewhere in Tottenham’s group, Rubin Kazan won 3-0 at Shamrock Rovers to top the group. Meanwhile, our next game in the competition is at home to Shamrock Rovers on the 29th of September.
