Spurs continue to be linked to a number of African strikers and the latest of these is 26 year old Senegalese Moussa Sow. Currently at Lille, Sow has 12 caps for his country scoring five goals to date and his performances this season have caught the eye of a number of scouts across Europe.

Prior to joining his present employers, the player had a modest record in French football. Starting with Rennes in 2006, Sow had a season long loan at Sedan before joining Lille last year and in that time, he averaged around a goal every six games.

However, the player has blossomed since his latest move, netting 27 times in 41 league matches but whoever buys Sow will hope he doesn’t return to the form he showed at the start of his career.

Transfer fees quoted start at around £15m but it’s thought that Spurs could try to jump to the front of the queue by offering Roman Pavlyuchenko as part of the deal.

Balls of string are expensive and sows hard to come by. Don’t want to price him out of the market. Start off at a pack of sausages and see if we get any offers.
