It’s hard to believe sometimes but club captain Ledley King has been with Spurs since 1997 and in all his time at White Hart Lane, he has hinted that this current squad is the best he’s seen.
“It is showing in the results. It is not just the eleven players on the pitch; if you look at the substitutes’ bench, it is scary how strong the squad is,” King said.
“We have got six wins in seven and we are feeling good and feeling confident. If we play well we can win and we should win if everyone is at it.
“We need to make sure we are up for every game and keep our minds right. We are urging each other on to perform and we can do very well.”
Ledley also believes that the team spirit in the club is vital to on-going success.
“We need to make sure we are up for every game and keep our minds right,” he added. “We are urging each other on to perform and we can do very well.”
There have been some good squads and some very average ones during Ledley’s 14 years at the Lane, but is the current one the best of all?
