Stories today are emerging of Italian interest in two of our defenders and while one rumour may have some legs, the other has been dismissed by its intended target.
Younes Kaboul attracted a little interest over the summer, mainly from his French homeland, but that interest is set to increase due to his largely confident displays at the heart of the Spurs’ defence.
Kaboul, who is under contract at the Lane until 2014 has been linked today with a move to Juventus but has played down the story.
“I am fine here with Tottenham. The manager trusts me and likes me to play for him. I am very well and settled here,” he said.
“Juventus is a great club and attractive. But, to be honest, I like it here at Spurs, so I am here and we are trying to fight until the end of the season to be challenging for the title and also for the Champions League positions.”
Elsewhere, Roma are thought to be pursuing Vedran Corluka who announced this week that he is looking to move on after finding his opportunities to be limited this season.
Harry Redknapp may be a little reluctant to let the Croatian go but if he isn’t figuring in his plans then a deal in this instance may well be sanctioned.
