There have been more unlikely transfers at White hart Lane but the suggestion that Real Madrid’s Kaka will arrive on loan in the New Year seems a little far-fetched.
It’s not that Spurs wouldn’t be a big enough draw for the 29 year old Brazilian but it seems hard to understand where he would fit in to the current squad.
The story is appearing in several newspapers but it may have originated in the Daily Express who claim,
‘Harry Redknapp wants another creative player to add to his stable of ball players.’
The suggestion is that Kaka would be brought in as cover for VDV and although, like-for-like you’d take Kaka every time, does the Dutchman deserve to be dropped? Would Kaka be happy coming here as ‘cover’ for another player.
Stranger things have happened but would you want Kaka at the Lane?

Firstly, could Spurs afford paying his salary ?
No
Can’t see this one happening but we live in hope
I hope this Journo didn’t get paid… As much as I hope Chris Foy didn’t get paid. Both equally inept. Would love it… but I would hedge your bettings of a Euro Millions win first.
He would be great to cover VDV when he’s injured and to give his hamstrings a bit of a rest. Perhaps we could play one for home games and the other for away games. There are other areas of the pitch where we’re in greater need of a new player but if it wouldn’t be too much of a money drain then it’d be hard to see a disadvantage. He’s versatile and classy enough to fill in as a striker or in the Modric role as well if needs be, which would be ideal because the core of our squad works very hard and rarely gets a game off. There’s nothing wrong with having world-class cover for world-class first-teamers and it would give us some depth to play more attacking lineups when we need to win or are chasing a game.
I doubt he’d be happy without a starring role and that would have to come at the expense of Rafa. I’d actually love him at Spurs but I don’t see it happening.
(more to the point, I also don’t see him happening because he’s an exceptionally talented >£50m player at one of the biggest clubs in the world being offered a cover role at an EPL team who aren’t even in the Champions League)
This was the big — and completely bogus — transfer deadline day rumor this past summer. It’s as true now as it was then. There is zero — repeat, ZERO chance that Kaka ends up in lilywhite for ANY period of time.
There’s krancjar to cover VDV. I say dont get another midfielder. Get a King cover and another proven striker. Adebayor is second rate in my eyes. He just can’t finish. Mourinho knows something, and considering we are now title contenders, if it’s not good enough for madrid, its not good enough for spurs
Although we’ve done great so far, we all know that we still need a class striker and central defender. People like Kaka (and Beckham) are marquee signings. It’s not as if we have empty seats to fill at the Lane.
