With the Europa League out of the way, Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is free to loan some of his fringe players from the squad and Jake Livermore in particular is attracting interest from elsewhere in the Premiership.
“We’re not going to let any of the players that we want to keep go in January, but I’m going to let some lads go out on loan,” said Redknapp.
“Some of the young kids can go out on loan now and play. It will do them good.
“I’ve already had Premier League clubs wanting to loan Jake, but I don’t know if I will loan him out because at the moment we’ve only got Scott Parker, Luka Modric and Sandro.”
Tom Carroll and Andros Townsend are players who may also benefit from some experience in the top flight but Harry suggested that the lower leagues are more likely destinations.
“And the other lads, people like Andros Townsend, we’ll get them out to the Championship or wherever to play.”
With no reserve football at the Lane, loan moves make sense but maybe some other players could join Jake Livermore in looking for a temporary Premiership berth.
