Our team to face Swansea – what’s yours?

by Matthew Harris on December 30, 2011

With no fresh injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s game against Swansea is it simply a case of ‘as you were’? Will Harry stick to the side that played Norwich and will he let Bale and VDV enjoy the roving roles that proved so telling on the night?

Unless there are any late withdrawals it does seem very likely that no changes are required but then again there are very few options.

Pav could conceivably play up front but with a departure looking more likely, his role as Russian sub looks assured for tomorrow. In any case, Pav is struggling with an ankle injury but Harry revealed that Jermain Defoe could be ready.

“He’s trained with us today and we’ll have to wait and see how he is,” said Harry

Pienaar and Kranjcar could also hope for a start but that hope is likely to be a forlorn one.

Here’s our team to play Swansea– what’s yours?

I’d say that we will play the same team, but never the 442 depicted here. Rather the 4-2-3-1 where Bale and VDV are free to roam and where Modric stays centrally in front of two defensive MFs in Parker and Sandro…

0-3, anyway… :)

cartel – exactly. We have a lot of players that could fit into this formation as well…Hudds could be another defensive midfielder, so could Livermore. Lennon, Kranjcar, Pienaar could all replace any of the offensive midfielders if injured. Our achilles heel is Ade, if he gets an injury I am unsure whether we can cope… I don’t believe that defoe can hold the line on his own, at least…

Think I will wear my new Spurs panties on Saturday for the game, shame to get them wet though!!!! Instead of Aurosma they have orgasmic wriiten on the sides and the to do is to dare on the front. Shame there was no rooom for a cock on the front, still I can always fit a big one inside. Dont take em off boys just slip them to one side. HHXX

I’d put Krancjar in for VDV who is the only weakness in our team at present.
Also any opnion on whether Henry cn help Arsenal secure a Europa Cup place?

VdV could be competently — if note equally — replaced by Niko or Defoe depending on where he’s playing. Ade can’t be replaced by anyone.
And what’s with the dig on Niko? The guy averages 2 minutes a game and we compare his form to the regular starters? I’d agree that VdV is a better player, overall, but Niko’s class.
