It looks like it could be a race between Sebastien Bassong and Giovani Dos Santos to be the first through the White Hart Lane exit door this month with our defender being the first dissenting voice of this transfer window.

Bassong could have gone to Bolton as part of a Gary Cahill deal in the summer but a more likely destination could be QPR, who have been linked with most of the fringe defenders in the Premiership.

I will not deny that I am indeed looking for more playing time,” Bassong said this week.

“Personally, I think this is the best championship. The Premier League might be my first choice.

“I’m close to nothing,” he added. “I just want to find playing time.

“All proposals are good to study and I do not pretend to close the door to anyone. “

It’s the Daily Mirror that claims QPR to be in pole position at present but while Mark Hughes has been linked with Chris Samba, Alex, Wayne Bridge and others, could Seb be short of options if Rangers don’t come calling?

  1. i will believe it when it happens.Get the feeling its going to be yet another window of missed signings and disappointment for Spurs fans.We are in such a great place at the minute but a few more deals will take us to another level. We have a very hard run over the next 6 weeks that we could either be sitting top or 7th at the end of it.To Dare is to Do.Faugh A Ballagh.

  2. I love Spurs, at least after QPR but your ‘arry is really a wanker. He wouldn’t contemplate Pienaar or Bassong to Loftus Rd, yet he shuffles them off to Everton and Wolves? I guess ‘arry could neither read the offer or write a response.
I pray Taarabt comes good at QPR and ‘arry get bugger all from a future transfer fee. Why should we worry he’ll be in jail soon enough. p***k
