Rob Green link surfaces again

by Matthew Harris on January 26, 2012

The name of West Ham keeper Rob Green has been mentioned once again in connection with a move to Spurs and there will be a large section of Tottenham fans who are hoping to pin this one down to lazy journalism.

Green, who is now 32, is out of contract at the end of the season and reports that the Hammers have postponed contract talks until the summer seem to have sparked off these rumours.

The keeper has been pivotal to the club’s campaign but the inference in some quarters is that he wants Premiership football. For some Tottenham fans that could be a dilemma – having West Ham promoted or seeing them stay in the Championship while welcoming Rob Green into the club.

ooo no..

Not a bad keeper. But we should really be looking for better. I dont even think he is better than Gomes or Friedel tbh.

If Gomes goes, then maybe as a back-up? Can’t see Green liking that. We should be looking for a top 10 keeping in the world really, who is still quite young to take the No1 stop for a good few years.

I’d want Krul or Worm. Green is not a top keeper.

Worm? Who on earth is that?
Hope you’re not referring to the Swansea keeper.
Hope Harry gets banged up.

“Having West Ham promoted or seeing them stay in the Championship while welcoming Rob Green into the club”

Good to see you Spuds still obsessed with us, even when we’re in the Championship.

Anyhow…anyone who says Green is a bad keeper clearly knows nothing. But, hey, no suprise in finding such people all under one roof here.

Just like Parker i’m sure you’ll slag him off now but be falling over yourselves if Green joined.

Really? – I can imagine you 3 losers sitting around waiting for a spurs article with any mention of your lot in it so u can get in and remind us how we love ur players or want ur new ground or some other bollocks! – I see it all the time on websites, a torrent of horrible abuse – from bitter sad fans of a smelly little club!.. Go away

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t he 10years too young to be a Spurs keeper?

That may be because your best players wouldn’t get on our subs bench at the moment.

Isn’t there a West Ham blog you could go comment on?
