Yesterday morning it was suggested that tomorrow night’s fixture against Stoke could be in doubt following the events surround Fabrice Muamba on Saturday. However, the club were quick to confirm that the game will go ahead and Harry Redknapp stressed a feeling that the players needed to get back to football for now.
“They need to play. They realise it is a one off and a one in a million chance probably,” he said, referring to the Muamba incident.
Harry added that news of Muamba’s progress will also help his players and as a result of all this, it’s back to league action tomorrow night.
It’s been a difficult start to the week but some positive news about Fabrice Muamba is most welcome and overall, it’s probably a good decision to get back to the football at White hart Lane.
