Spurs manager Harry Redknapp reported no new injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s early kick off with Sunderland and that could mean a return to the starting line up for Aaron Lennon.

Ledley King is also back in contention and faces a late test on his knee but will Harry look to make any changes to the team that beat Swansea last week? Ledley is normally brought straight back into the side if he is ‘fit’ but otherwise it could be the same starting XI from last Sunday.

  3. I agree with that team, but for me at the moment Gallas has the edge over Ledders!

    It pains me to say it but we look more assured at the back, and Gallas seems to have that hunger and desire that the team needs at the moment.

  6. Modric and Parker are at their most effective when we have two wide players to draw out defenders and create space in the middle for them. So, if Lennon is fit, it has to be the same side that started against Swansea except that Lennon comes in for Sandro. If Lennon’s not fit but Ledders is, then Ledders at centre back, Gallas at right back and Walker taking Lennon’s role.

      • Both Kaboul and Gallas have played at right back, so either would be fine if it frees Walker to assume a Bale-like role on the right. The other will partner King in central defence. Sandro at right back or right wing? No thanks. If not Walker, then I’d rather Gio do a straight swop for Lennon.

        • Id just play Ledley, he is still our best CB and I’d play out strongest team with Gio right wing unless Lennon is fit Gio is class

  7. As we’re away from home we have to play 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 with 3 central midfielders. That means dropping VDV now that Lennon is back.

    If we don’t have 3 in the middle we’ll get overrun and will hardly see the ball.

  10. Fairly in agreement with above suggested teams except that I would rather have Gallas instead of King for this particular match.Should things go wrong up front and that goals are not scored, I would like to see Defoe or Saha brought in as substitute and not too late in the match.

    I’d rather we use Lennon tomorrow, if what Redknapp says about only using him for one of the next two matches is true.

  12. 4-2-3-1… but would keep Gallas in,he’s been solid since he came back into the team, Ledley for Norwich. Livermore in for Sandro, still think hes much more reliable. Apart from that i pretty much picks itself id say .. lennon gets a run out depending on how it goes!!!
