Walker signs new five year deal

Tottenham have announced that Kyle Walker has signed a new contract with the club that will run until 2017. The news caps a memorable few days for the full back who followed his PFA Young Player of the year award with a stunning goal in our 2-1 win over Blackburn.

Rumours about Kyle’s future have intensified over the last few weeks but the news will be welcomed by fans, even if it doesn’t guarantee to stop speculation completely.

After loan spells last season, Walker returned at the start of this campaign and at the moment, must surely be one of the first names on Harry’s teamsheet so the news is good all round.

  1. I’m a bit of cynic. I welcome the contract, but I have a feeling this only adds to his value if Spurs were ever going to sell. If somebody comes in with the right offer, I’m glad we will have the leverage to refuse, otherwise, it will cost them. I just wish speculation would stop over our players leaving or what not. Great result at Bolton, lets hope we carry this momentum for the rest of the year. Pressure is on the Gunners now.
