With a question mark over Scott Parker’s fitness it may have been a surprise for many to see him start the game against Norway at the weekend but after playing into the second half, Scott looks set to make the plane for Euro 2012.
“The game in Norway was my first for a while and I’m pleased I’ve come through it. It felt good and I felt fine which was a relief,” Parker said after the game.
“I’m glad things have cleared up a bit and I am ready to go. I have waited a long time to break into the England team, never mind go to a major tournament. To think I might not be there was quite disappointing but all the medical team have done a great job and I am going to go.”
While Spurs fans will be pleased for Scott, many of us will have our fingers crossed that he doesn’t aggravate that troublesome Achilles during the tournament.
