Spurs bid for Forest youngster

by Matthew Harris on July 10, 2012

According to some sources, Tottenham have tabled a bid for 18 year old Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles.

The England under 19 international made his first appearance in a Forest shirt last season but spent most of last campaign on loan at Stevenage, playing in nine games and scoring once.

He’s reported to be rated as one of the best prospects outside of the Premier League and if he is snapped up by the club, it could give some weight to the suggestions that Spurs are looking to build a long term legacy under AVB.

Those reports say that the offer is in so we may get an answer in the next few days.

it’s good to get young defenders especially at that age, how goalkeepers are also aging

This surprises me to be honest, we already have Kabouls, Vertonghen and Caulker all under the age of 26, and Dawson still there who is 27 (i think?), not sure we need another centre back.
