Spurs linked to Portuguese defender

At least three players have now been mentioned as potential makeweights as part of a deal taking Luka Modric to Real Madrid and centre half Ricardo Cavalho is just one of those. However, the suggestion that he may be on his way to White Hart Lane has intensified with reports that the Portuguese is surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu.

The defender has fallen some way below Pepe and Sergio Ramos in the club’s pecking order and according to the press back in his homeland, Real have now given him permission to leave.

Carvalho is 34 but Spurs still have needs in defence despite the arrival of Jan Vertonghen. The experience is undoubtedly there but can he spend more time on the pitch than our other crop of defensive 30-somethings?

The view is that the former Chelsea man could still come as part of the transfer that would see Modric heading the other way but would this be good or bad news for the club?

Ricardo Cavalho cannot get into a ‘championship level’ team in Portugal. Now stop messing around and get back to your crayon colouring book.

No, no, no, no, NO! Sick and tired of the club signing pensioners. Rocha, Gilberto, Gallas, Nelson. I’d rather AVB signed Jamaal Lascelles and Grant Hall, loaned them out for the season, then had them ready for the first team just like Caulker and Naughton.

Tottenham hotspure summer2012-2013 transfer target 1.GK-LLORIS OR CESAR 2.CB-VERTOGHEN& CARVIALO , FRYERS 3.-CM-MOUNTINHO 4.- HULK 5.-FALCAO OR LLORIENTE & DEFOE OR DAMIAO OR REMY & ADABAYOR OR RONDON

AVB was phasing out the oldies at chelsea so hopefully he buys into the theory that younger players are generally better. Add to that Levy’s preference for sell-on value and i think it’s pretty uinlikely that Carvalho’s a real target for us. Any quotes anywhere or is it just media speculation?

This just shows what was realy behind Harrys sacking selling Rat Boy and getting less money. This is because 5 percent goes to Rat Boys old club. And because we wont selll to Chelscum Abramobitch is buying every midfielder we are linked with Hazard lights Oscer Romeo and Moses and the ten commandments . This is all the fault of Avb calling the Russian spoilt bastard over his sacking he is determined to win the league and stop AVB doing likewise. Meanwhile Mr Levey who bought Siggy in record time has now gone back to is old self arguying over wages and price so our next buy will be 11-30 and that will be too late has Harry found out. We are dinning in posh restaurants but we cant pay the bill.
