Earlier this week it was reported that Spurs were in the market for Roma’s Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic. The 22 year old had seemed a viable replacement for Luka Modric but as soon as the stories broke, the player’s agent was denying that a deal would take place.

“Tottenham made a move for him, but both Roma and Pjanic thanked them for their interest and politely declined the offer,” said Michele Gerbino.

“This is not the time to move or consider any other offers. The lad has tied himself to this project and first of all wants to do well at Roma.”

However, a second Roma name has emerged today in the shape of Bojan Krkic – a 21 year old Spanish international who can play as a winger or a centre forward.

Krkic was a product of the Barcelona youth academy but has lost his way a little after making his one appearance for Spain back in 2008. He’s struggled during his time at Roma and while it’s thought that he may be seeking a move away in order to rebuild his career, his record doesn’t particularly suggest that he could be a good option for Spurs.

  1. dont barca have a buy back with Roma (similar to the CHelski one for Romelu)… interesting to see the knock on effect. looked good as kid at Barca but didnt really kick on… GDS syndrome????

  2. He’s better than dos santos the only reason why he could be compared to dos santos is because they both played in barcelona

  3. On Wikipedia its said that Bojan Krkic is an attacking/winger if we get him i dont mind if we use him as a winger because his scoring record is not that good 45 goals in 159 league games. Oh and please ban akshayaalase from this site all he/she dose is spoil the sensible coversation we have on this site.
