While it’s still hard to sort the real stories from the gossip, most of the players mentioned in connection with a move to White Hart Lane would be welcomed by fans into the club. There are exceptions however, and it was particularly worrying to see Charlie Adam’s odds shorten to 6/4 on a move from Liverpool.

Given this history between Adam and Gareth Bale, such a transfer would seem a remote possibility but an approach to Manchester United with a view to taking either Nani or Anderson – or maybe even both – is gathering momentum.

The two players arrived from Portugal in 2007 – Nani from Sporting Lisbon and Anderson from Porto and while one has been sporadically effective in a red shirt, the other has been largely disappointing.

It’s thought that both players could be available for sale before the transfer window is closed but could Andre Villas-Boas help to get the consistent best out of either man?

  1. Anderson has done nothing for Utd, but I remember watching some videos of him before he went there and thinking “gosh, this guy is unbelievable, we need to sign him”… Not sure what happened once at Urd other than a few injuries.. Did he maybe play out wide, instead of through the middle, in past? I don’t know… Maybe it was just YouTube making him look good in snippets..

  2. SELL—-VDV—G.SANTOS–BENTLAY–JENAS—HDDLESTONE——–BUY IN——LLORIS—MVILLA—MOUNTINHO—[KAKA–GRENAREO–J.RODRIGUAZ ] ON LOAN—-HULK OR NANI—–LLORIENTE OR DAMIAO

  3. Both links are without basis. Man U rather bring a player out of retirement in Scholes before they play Anderson. Another in a long line of Brazilian players that failed to settle in UK. Leandro could be another, so I am not sure why so many are pining for him at such a high price. Nani is like a higher scoring, yet less effective team player version of Lennon. We need cover but Nani is not reliable.

  4. id take nani but with his wages id doubt it would happen – anddrson no and cahrlie adam lol if he joined id stop benig a spurs fan
