When the news of a ‘partnership’ between Spurs and Real Madrid was announced on Monday, the cynical amongst us assumed that it just meant that the Spaniards would have first option on Gareth Bale. That may still prove to be the case but in the meantime, could Tottenham be about to sign one of Real’s midfielders before the transfer window closes?

The player in question is 25 year old Esteban Granero who has just one year of his contract left at the Bernabeu and could therefore be available for a greatly reduced fee.

Despite being capped at all youth stages for Spain, Granero has yet to win a full international cap but it’s reported that Jose Mourinho holds the player in high regard and feels that the best is yet to come. However, with opportunities limited at Real, he needs to be playing regular, first team football but will that happen at White Hart Lane?

TRANSFES ARE COMLICATED!1 – EVERY MANAGER AND CHAIRMEN WILL VALUE DIFFERENTLY!! – STOP POSTING BALL SHEET LIKE THIS AS IF LEVY SHOULD READ IT!!!!

  1. oh come on…
the last thing we need is Real Madrid’s fail players…
we deserve better… or do we??
is that the type of players we are able to attract??

      • Wasn’t Sneider a RM reject also before going to Inter?

        Or Huntalaar?

Kaka would do nicely.. People say his legs are shot, but come on, if he was the best player in the world 5 years ago, he can’t be that shabby… Still gets some game time for RM so Mourinho can’t think too badly of him…
