Tottenham’s defensive midfield could have a new look to it very shortly as some positive news regarding injuries started to come through yesterday. Moussa Dembele was the first name in question and although there has been no confirmation from the club, the player’s personal physio may have broken the positive report.
The physio’s ‘Tweet’ reads,
“On my way to deliver @mousadembele injury free to his club @spursofficial.”
Some will say Moussa has been sorely missed: can it be a coincidence that we’ve lost four out of five league games in his absence or is the Belgian really that important to the club?
Further good news came later in the day when the club’s official website confirmed that Scott Parker was back in light training,
“Scott’s having his first training sessions and we’re now looking to build-up his fitness levels,” said Andre Villas-Boas.
“Not only that, it’s important for a player who has been out to get a feel for his team-mates again, to stop training individually and get together with the group.
“We’ll build-up his fitness and then we can look at the options for him.”
A centre midfield of Parker and Dembele would have a solid look to it but would Scott get back in ahead of Sandro? At least AVB will have more options in the weeks ahead.
