Jake Livermore was a dependable and reliable deputy at Spurs last season and the midfielder went on to make 24 league appearances in 2011-12 under Harry Redknapp. This year however, Jake has had his injury problems and with Sandro established and Scott Parker slowly returning to fitness, it looks unlikely that the player will be featuring heavily under Andre Villas-Boas.

This has led to the start of transfer rumours – predictably to Harry at QPR where the temptation of first team football in the Premiership, albeit to the end of the season, might just persuade Livermore to make a move.

The initial report seems to have originated from the Evening Standard but at this stage it suggests that the club are not prepared to let the player leave permanently. That does however leave the possibility of a loan deal as the West London side attempt to stay up.

Livermore is 23 now and still has time on his side but unless an injury crisis occurs this month, a temporary move to Loftus Road might be a logical step.
