Yesterday’s Sky Cameras gave the award to Swansea’s Ashley Williams while Tottenham’s official website chose Jan Vertonghen as the winner after yesterday’s hard fought victory.
Jan was an obvious choice after another assured defensive display was capped by the winner but were there any more deserving candidates? Sandro and Dembele looked their usual solid selves in the centre of midfield while Defoe and Lennon stayed busy up front without any success.
Andros Townsend may be worth a mention after finally helping to unlock the Swansea bus by winning the crucial free kick.
So is Jan the Man or does the TottenhamBlog bottle of Light Ale go to somebody else – you decide…

  1. Seeing as jan scored and kept a clean sheet I can see united buying him…. We should sell for 50 million sell bale get kaboul back fit buy SWP and mess then win the league

    • He is not the real aaakkaalaashhaayyee. The real one only writes in capital letters.
Ignore both, and lets have a nice exchange of opinions.
We are looking good at the moment. Could do with a few more goals though.
I agree that we need a creative midfielder and a striker.
Our midfield looks good and with Scotty coming back and our youngsters, we do not really need strenghtening in that area.
I (Danish guy, having watched Eriksen closely) do not think he is strong enough for the PL. I think he will go to spain or stay in Holland for at least a year or two.
Lets get Moutinho or if we can afford him, my first choice Willian.
We woud then have the squad to actually compete for a full season.
