Andre Villas-Boas confirmed that Aaron Lennon and Michael Dawson are fit and available for Saturday’s game at the Liberty Stadium and it’s likely that both players will start in a more conventional formation.

“Michael trained fully today with the team and gave a positive response,” AVB said.

“Aaron trained fully with the team for the last two days, so they are in contention to come back. Aaron has been excellent for us and it’s good to have him back.”

Andre has a few choices to make across the pitch and does he start with both strikers on the pitch or revert to a lone centre forward away from home?

Will Cliint Dempsey and Lewis Holtby come into contention in midfield and will the coach shuffle that defence around again?

Here’s how we think they’ll line up but what’s your view?

  1. Never a good idea to start with all our attacking options on the pitch.
If we go behind, and can not find solutions, we do not have a proper plan B. Like against Fulham. (ouch, that one hurt)
Get Siggy in behind Deefoe and lets play some good old SPURS football. This could be a brilliant match.
But also a game, where we need to get back to our winning ways.
I cannot believe that we are showing signs of our usual easter slump. I choose to blame that guy Jesus.
I really do not think he likes YIDS………
But hopefully AVB is more powerful than Jesus, and will stear us through our a the moment slightly misguided path….

  3. lloris, walker, dawson, vertonghen, benny, lennon, parker, dembele, holtby, bale, defoe….only prefer siggy and dempsey coming in as subs…..adebayor should learn whiles he’s been benched

  4. I don’t know why you contributors put ade and decorum front Swansea play 433mose home games so if we set up with 442 they would have an extra man in midfield

    4231
    Lloris
    Walker Dawson vert benny

    Dembele holtby

    Lennon bale siggy
    Defoe

  5. I’d b wary of starting lennon especially with upcoming fixtures,3 games in a wk is to much for someone recovering from persistent hamstring problems, I’d have him on bench & bring him on after 60 mins or so depending how game plays out & hold him back for a start in Europe.
I’d play walker Rw with caulker rb, holtby Dembele & Carroll as a 3 in cm with bale on left & ADE upfront but only playing width of box, no wandering out to wing or dropping to deep but play as a focal point & on the shoulder of cb’s, Ade will never get out of his slump unless we create more chances for him & although he can’t b without. fault for his form were not helping him either, at moment when he misses a chance his head completely drops as he’s unlikely to get another chance especially as he spends most of his time to deep or wide so not enough chances fall his way, so he has to start playing width of box & we have to create more opportunity’s for him.
I’d go 433 lloris caulker Dawson verthongen BAE, holtby dembele, walker ADE bale, subs Friedal naughton parker huddlestone lennon dempsey defoe,

  6. Surprised but glad to see Parker missing from many of the selections. Carrol or Holtby would be a better choice. By the way we cannot continue playing the good old Spurs football with AVB’s new modern approach. That means two strikers on the field and never mind if we concede 4 goals because we’re going to score 5 ! I love what AVB is doing, but I do miss the Old Spurs sometimes.

  7. Got to start Carroll and Dembele in the midfield other than that we need some lads to step a play like they want champions league.
