Tottenham’s list of released players will surprise few supporters, particularly with regards to William Gallas and David Bentley, both of whom seemed certain to go this summer. However, there’s a list of additional youngsters to complete the final set of six.

The players released are Gallas, Bentley, John Bostock, Jack Munns, Jack Barthram and Jake Nicholson. In the case of Bostock the announcement ends any hope of the player ever having an impact at White Hart Lane.

John’s transfer in 2008 caused a furore at the time – certainly among the Crystal Palace Chairman and their supporters and the then 16 year old went on to become our youngest ever player as he made his full debut against Dinamo Zagreb. But for whatever reason it just hasn’t happened for him at Spurs.

We wish them all well but could John Bostock or any other name on this list ever prove us wrong?

  1. I don’t care if they prove us wrong. No room for deadwood. Actually enjoyed the cover and experience Gallas brought to the squad but nice to have him off the books all the same. Gomes must go for a little cash loss now. At least it’ll free up the wages. Huddlestone too I’m afraid. Just far too slow. I’d keep Parker. Great squad player to have around. Sign David Villa, keep Bale and dump Adebayor. We’re not gonna get any decent cash for him but the wages are hurting us. He started to come good at the end there so maybe there’s someone with an eye for him. If we’re gonna be title contenders (and there’s no reason why we can’t think like that) we need real attacking depth. Ade, Defoe, Dempsey are all pretty average. Sell them all and get Damio and Villa. They will both jump at the chance. Then we’re a formidable looking outfit.

  2. Bostock never got a look in with redknapp because harry never had the bottle to play kids he only played then in shit games never known for bringing young players through
