There’s no confirmed team news from the club as yet but there didn’t appear to be any further injury concerns after our 5-0 win in Tbilisi on Thursday night. That should leave Gareth Bale and Sandro as the only likely absentees and while Lewis Holtby was impressive in 82 minutes for the Under 21s last night, he should need more of a break before becoming available for senior action once again.
Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen and Aaron Lennon were kept at home for Thursday’s game but the move was a precautionary one with Andre Villas-Boas hoping both would be available for the arrival of Swansea.
There may just be a question of formation – will AVB stick with 4-2-3-1 or will he introduce a second striker for our first home game of the season?
The biggest question in terms of personnel concerns Andros Townsend after his brilliant display against admittedly weak Georgian opposition. Will Andre throw him in in place of Nacer Chadli and could Chadli himself switch to the right in place of Lennon?
Here’s how we think it will look but what’s your view?
