A week ago you wouldn’t have been able to obtain odds shorter than 20/1 on Andre Villas-Boas to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post. As of today however, the ‘Sack Race’ as it is commonly known, tells a different story.
This market isn’t always a marker for what actually goes on in boardrooms but it’s interesting to see Andre’s odds come down after Sunday’s game. Suddenly, that 20/1 average has shortened with the lowest figure on offer from BetVictor at 8/1.
However, if you think this bet is worth considering then you can still jump on with William Hill who are offering a best price of 16/1 in this respect.
Two men with Tottenham connections head the betting – Martin Jol is favourite at 4/11 with Stan James while Chris Hughton is at 7/1 with Paddy Power.
Betting on the next Spurs manager is interesting too with Roberto Mancini out in front at 8/1 and Jurgen Klinsmann following on at 12/1 – both with BetVictor.
This isn’t to say that we’re joining the AVB Out Bandwagon but these are fascinating prices. Question is – are any of them worth a punt?
