A week ago you wouldn’t have been able to obtain odds shorter than 20/1 on Andre Villas-Boas to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post. As of today however, the ‘Sack Race’ as it is commonly known, tells a different story.

This market isn’t always a marker for what actually goes on in boardrooms but it’s interesting to see Andre’s odds come down after Sunday’s game. Suddenly, that 20/1 average has shortened with the lowest figure on offer from BetVictor at 8/1.

However, if you think this bet is worth considering then you can still jump on with William Hill who are offering a best price of 16/1 in this respect.

Two men with Tottenham connections head the betting – Martin Jol is favourite at 4/11 with Stan James while Chris Hughton is at 7/1 with Paddy Power.

Betting on the next Spurs manager is interesting too with Roberto Mancini out in front at 8/1 and Jurgen Klinsmann following on at 12/1 – both with BetVictor.

This isn’t to say that we’re joining the AVB Out Bandwagon but these are fascinating prices. Question is – are any of them worth a punt?

  1. Look I want us to be challangu=ing for the top 4 every season and whoever is our manager I will back to the hilt as long as I can see he is doing a good job. AVB got us our best ever points haul last season (with Bale). We spent a lot of money pre season, now did AVB sanction or choose these plaeyrs, well I dont know. What I do know now is we are a shambles compared to last season. The new players do not look worth their value. I do not include Capoue and Chadli and Chiches here as they do look good buys for the price. llamella and Erikson are still very young, however AVB does not have a clue what he is doing now and he showed that yesterday in team selection, substitutions and after match comments. So time to go he is another Ramos and we will plummit. Sorry Andre nothing against you jusy your mangement and coaching skills. Act now and bring in the Southampton guy, if not Laudraup or Mancini are worth a look.

    • Mancini!!!!! Your avin a fucking laugh, the prick moaned he didn’t have enough money to spend! !!!! Plus he is crap and annoying and a greasy itiy.

    • JUST GET THIS CLOWN OUT FAST ANYONE THAT LOSES AT HOME TO A POOR WEST HAM TEAM 3-0 HAS PROBLEMS GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF THIS WANKERS EXCUSES HE IS TOTALLY TO BLAME NO ONE ELSE KEEPS PLAYING PLAYERS OUT OF POSITION, NO LEFT BACK COVERAGE AND THIS ONE UP FRONT CRAP AIN’T WORKING FUCK HIM OFF BEFORE ITS TO LATE

  2. I’ve wondered before if players do this deliberately to get rid of a manager they don’t want. No idea if this is happening but it it would explain why they all played so badly yesterday.

  3. We need a good performance against Man U to wipe away the bitter taste of sundays defeat. There’s always another game and whom better to beat than them. Which ever eleven play, in whatever formation has show bottle and pride in the shirt. COYS.
