With such a crowded midfield and with so many big names now at the club, it was always going to be tough for Jake Livermore to finally break back into the Tottenham set up and the 24 year old seems to have finally conceded that his future lies elsewhere.
Jake has been on loan since the start of the season and after some impressive displays with Hull, he is open to making the deal permanent.
“Tottenham seem to be coping without me so I don’t see any reason why there would be a recall,” Livermore is quoted as saying by the Mirror.
“I’m happy here playing my football with Hull. If the two clubs could sort something out I’d be more than happy to look at it.
“I’ve been here long enough to know what the club and the manager are about.”
Jake Livermore currently has 58 Spurs appearances behind him – scoring once – and while a change of manager may often give fringe players some hope, it does look as if he may have played his last game in a Tottenham shirt.
Always liked Jake to be honest. He has done very well for Spurs when called upon, and although he was never a GREAT player, he was certainly a good one. Livermores technical ability was very much underrated during his time with Spurs, so it’s nice to see him get the opportunity to play games regularly in a league where he so clearly belongs.
Great pro (by all accounts), good player, who is better served moving on as I don’t believe he will EVER get the game time he seeks at Spurs.
The academy can be proud of their work they have done with the kid, though.

Spurs have a strong team but they have not played good, collective and intelligent football in the Premier League. Their worst performances were against West Ham, Manchester City and Liverpool. In the other matches, they had to struggle despite winning narrowly.. I think it was a mistake to have played only one striker. It never worked.This is why we have scored few goals. Moreover, I found the players much too slow in bringing the ball forward, losing far too much time with those frequent unnecessary back passes. AVB did not not make things easier by too often starting off with the wrong team and putting players in the wrong position. It was time for Spurs to go for new managerial blood.
