Earlier in the day we had discussed Tottenham’s appeal against Younes Kaboul’s red card and questioned whether the FA would see sense and rescind the decision. Fortunately that appeal has been upheld and the French international will be available for Sunday’s North London Derby with Arsenal.

Kaboul was sent off in the second half of Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at Chelsea in an incident which led directly to our opponents’ second goal. The cynical amongst us will point out that this is the second time this has happened against a ‘big club’ after Danny Rose’s erroneous dismissal against Manchester City.

For now, Younes is back and with Vlad Chiriches and Michael Dawson likely to be ruled out through injury, at least we have two specialist central defenders available for Sunday’s game.
