Team news is in ahead of this evening’s Premier League tie with Liverpool and it focusses on Emmanuel Adebayor who missed last week’s win over Southampton with a heel injury. Head Coach Tim Sherwood seemed a little unsure over Ade with the fear that his participation in the game would aggravate the problem.
“We’re hoping Ade can make it but he has a nasty cut at the back of his heel,” Sherwood said.
“The question is whether or not we leave him out for another week, let it heal a little better or put him back in and it might open up again.”
From those comments, it sounds as if the striker may be an option on the bench with Roberto Soldado as the lone centre forward, away from home against the second placed team.
The only two players definitely ruled out appear to be Kyle Walker and Erik Lamela although it’s unlikely that Vlad Chiriches will be risked after a run out for the under 21s last night.

Don’t know how anyone can put Lennon in the team.
I think Sigurdsson has to play in the centre after his great second half performance against Southampton. Eriksen too in my opinion. On the left he is wasted and he will expose our left back.
I would play Sandro as a holding player and sit back rather than play a high line. Liverpool are very dangerous at counter attacks and like playing balls through the defence.

can someone please tell me what Sherwood sees in bentaleb? the kid does nothing for me at all, even a 50 percent paulinho is a far superior player,

Naughton very very begrudgingly. Lennon’s pace against their full-backs bombing forward is the only reason I’d put him in, he’s been poop this whole season but so has Townsend really. Siggy over Dembele because he is actually a goal threat, as well as that he has the ability to set up others.

Problem is Naughton and Rose are both not good enough, but we don’t have proper cover. Walker’s out and Fryers is still learning. I would throw Zeki in at left back but stick with Naughton. We should play proper wingers to help cover.
Note for summer: buy some fullbacks.
