Our link with Swindon Town could ultimately mean a home for current Head Coach Tim Sherwood but for now, the Robins are providing a very useful setting for our reserve midfielder Alex Pritchard. The 20 year old said goodbye to the County Ground with what was described as a ‘dazzling performance’ in Swindon’s 1-0 win over Bradford and that came after an eighth minute strike in the previous win away to Coventry.

Pritchard currently has six goals in 34 games for the league one club and his most recent performance drew plenty of praise from Robins boss Mark Cooper.

“You look at Alex Pritchard – his last home game for the club – he came here a boy and he’s going to go away a man and I’m sure he’ll go on to bigger and better things,” Cooper said.

The midfielder is only 20 but clearly his next move is going to be an important one. He could well feature for Spurs in a league or European Cup game next season but while he’s unlikely to be a regular part of the squad, a loan deal to a Premiership club might not be out of the question.

  2. Klinsman just to let you know Pritchard played championship football last season for peterborough and looked comfortable against the likes of palace
