With David Moyes losing his job at Manchester United, the headlines are dominated by manager talk today with the question of Louis Van Gaal taking over at Old Trafford being the main topic. In the meantime, there is a game to play this weekend and Hugo Lloris has underlined the importance of keeping focus against a Stoke side who are tough to beat at home.

“Now we have three games left, I hope we will take three more wins and finish the season as high as possible. We need to keep working, keep going and be focused for the next game at Stoke,” Lloris said.

This is an obvious thing to say but the media are offering up plenty of distractions with Harry Kane asked if the players were concerned about the uncertainty over the manager’s job.

“I think all the players have got on with it,” Kane told Sky Sports.

“You can see against Fulham and recent performances we’ve been playing great, we’ve been scoring goals.

“Nah, all the players are focused on the games ahead.”

Once again, nothing terribly unusual about those comments but it does sum up our season as it ends with talk about Sherwood and who will replace him, rather than a focus on the three games left until the end of the campaign.
