Very soon, Atletico Madrid will need to find a replacement for 36 goal striker Diego Costa as the Spaniard prepares to seal his move to Chelsea. Having passed a medical, the deal could conceivably be done later this week and with this almost rubber stamped, speculation has grown concerning a possible move for Robert Solado.
With no news or comments to go by, the media are unsure as to how Mauricio Pochettino views Soldado – a player who scored just six Premiership goals last season. However, the comments made by Atletico President Enrique Cerezo may put an end to one area of speculation.
“Soldado and Negredo? I haven’t heard anything from the coaching staff about them,” Cerezo said.
Roberto said as the campaign drew to a close that his form would get better. He hinted that he would stay and there’s nothing to suggest that anyone’s position has changed on the matter. More rumours will follow but is it more likely that the Spaniard will stay at White Hart Lane for the 2014-15 campaign?
Hope that he does stay, just to prove those Arsenal fans wrong. I know that he can do it. The evidence is when he played for Valencia
I think he’s quality… but he needs help. Townsend, Lamela, Lennon have to step up… Really step up. I know Lamela has the talent, but all our other forward players….
Hes a quality striker…. and will find the net next season. Coys
