Nobody has too much idea about Mauricio Pochettino’s transfer policy or what he thinks of our current squad but it seems increasingly likely that Jake Livermore will be surplus to requirements at the Lane next season.

After impressing in a Hull team that made it to last season’s FA Cup final, it was widely thought that Steve Bruce would look to make the deal permanent.

“Jake’s had a wonderful five months here. He’s benefited his career by playing,” Bruce said back in January.

“We’ve given him that platform and he’s certainly grabbed it.

“We’d like to do something permanently if we possibly can.”

However, it is now thought that the Tigers are not prepared to meet Spurs’ valuation which is said to be around the £6.5m mark.

According to the Mirror, Crystal Palace are ready to do business with Tony Pulis believed to be sitting on a £30m transfer fund ahead of the new campaign. Whatever happens, it does seem as if Jake Livermore’s six years as a full time Tottenham professional are coming to an end.
