Despite having a surfeit of wide men at the club, Spurs continue to be linked to wingers and the latest of these is 20 year old Leyton Orient man Moses Odubajo. The midfielder was instrumental in his side’s climb to the league one play offs and Tottenham are among a number of teams who are believed to have sent scouts over to the Matchroom Stadium.

Odubajo is tied to the O’s until 2015 and back in May, manager Russell Slade confirmed that the club were keen to hang on to him.

Speaking after the play off final in which Odubajo scored a stunning opening goal, Slade said.

“’The first thing is he’s under contract, he’s our player, someone’s got to come in with a sizeable offer if they want him,”

“You don’t get too many 20-year-olds who have played more than 100 games.

“He took his goal magnificently well, he’s a product of our youth policy and he’s a great individual and someone we’ll want to keep hold of.”

The youngster was an ever present at Orient last season, scoring 11 goals and providing a number of assists. Any move would naturally be a punt but Spurs will be linked with far worse players over the course of the summer.

    • Couldn’t disagree more there are great bargains to be had in the lower leagues. Some of the greats started there . It’s about time the scouts earned there corn instead of “identifying” established players that still flop in the PL how about actually spotting some talent like they are supposed to do ?
