The path between Spurs and Hull City may seem like an unlikely trade route but after Tom Huddlestone joined the Tigers on a permanent basis at the start of last season, the club broke their transfer record by tying up a deal for Jake Livermore earlier this week.

Having completed two deals in less than 12 months, it’s obvious that the press will now start to link a number of fringe Spurs players with a trip to Hull but in the case of Michael Dawson, there may be a little more substance to the story.

Talk of our club captain joining his former team mates at the KC Stadium began at the start of the week but today, the Mail claim that a £4m bid has been placed for our club captain. Then again, the same report goes on to incorrectly state that we purchased Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea City back in 2012…

The make up of Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs side will largely fall into place after the World Cup but the club have shown that they’re happy to do some early dealing. Will Michael Dawson shortly be joining Tom and Jake under Steve Bruce?

  1. Its time to move him on been a good servant always looked better playing next to ledley but exposed when not because of his lack of pace, may as well make some money, wish him well.

  2. Unfortunately Daws is not gonna get you into the top 4, he’s a great lad by all accounts and a fearless defender who puts his body on the line. Would be an excellent acquisition for a team like Hull though he’s unlikely to be considered 1st XI material for Poch who likes to play a passing game.

Too often exposed on the turn and while playing high line under AVB so it’s not a surprise to see him linked with a move. Did amazingly well to come back after AVB tried to sell him though, respect to the man for that

  3. It’ll be a little sad if Michael and Aaron, the last in the group from ‘the old days’, leave. However, going forward as a club, it’s important that it happens. With one year left on his contract, four million would be a good fee.

  4. Good luck to dawson if he goes, a real warrior and great role model for all players. Deserves to start games and play regularly. I reckon Harry might come in for him though as a good defender for 4 million. Coys
